Chrissie Wellington, A Life Without Limits, Number One Bestseller

Chrissie Wellington’s memoir A Life Without Limits has gone straight to number one on the bestseller charts, the first (print) number one bestseller since the merger of Constable and Robinson - a real milestone.

The amazing life story of Britain's world conquering triathlete, A Life Without Limits beat off stiff competition from the likes of Steve Jobs (The Exclusive Biography) and Andrew Marr (The Diamond Queen) to top this week's Sunday Times Bestseller Chart.

It was also a great weekend of review coverage for brand new titles BLITZ KIDS and TOM-ALL-ALONE'S. Blitz Kids by Sean Longden was praised as:
‘...a slice of real life that cuts across the more sanitised and detached narratives that historians, myself included, too often present as ‘proper history’...a rich, human book...sympathetic and sometimes shocking account.’
Richard Overy, Literary Review
‘Interesting and comprehensive.’
Juliet Gardiner, BBC History Magazine

Tom-All-Alone’s was reviewed in The Times this weekend - 'A grisly period detective story with a light-hearted literary conceit.' The Scotsman also reviewed Tom-All-Alone’s as 'an intelligent, gripping and beautifully written novel which sparkles with bibliophilic glee.'

Tom-All-Alone’s author Lynn Shepherd also wrote a piece for The Spectator about ‘ways of reading’ which can be viewed here >
